20% of the sale will be donated to the NSPCA.
Charley the Elephant was taken from the wild in 1982 and forced into a life of performance—first in a circus, then confined for over two decades at Pretoria Zoo, often isolated behind barriers. Despite years of loneliness, the NSPCA never gave up on him. In 2024, their dedication paid off when Charley, now named Duma, was moved to Shambala Private Game Reserve, where open grass, fresh air, and the presence of other elephants replaced concrete and silence. This Art by Mareli print portrays Duma not just as an elephant, but as a powerful symbol of every wild spirit still longing for freedom.
