Collection: Sarel Greyling
South African artist Sarel Greyling “paints” with modelling clay using mainly his bare hands as his tool. Mixing the required hues by hand, his fingerprints form the markings as he directly engages with the painting surface. As he playfully yet purposefully experiment with plasticine in pioneering ways, he finds himself on a delightful journey of discovering the two-dimensional painterly potential of this primarily sculptor’s medium.
